How does the recyclability work? Since it has different layers, is it truly recyclable?

Yes, it is truly and easily recyclable. This is a core innovation. Both PETG and APET are polyesters and are chemically compatible. They can be recycled together in the same PET recycling stream without the need for costly or complex separation—unlike laminates of different plastic families (e.g., PET/PE). It is considered a mono-material solution.

We currently use standard PETG. Will we need to change our thermoforming equipment or settings?

In most cases, no major changes are required. Our GAG sheet processes similarly to high-quality PETG. It often has a more forgiving and stable forming window. We provide recommended starting parameters for temperature, plug assist, and cycle time to ensure a smooth transition and optimal results.
