A: Standard PP has low melt strength, causing it to sag or tear when heated deeply. HSQY solves this by utilizing specialized melt-strength modifiers and precise nucleating agents. This widens the "thermoforming window," allowing the sheet to maintain its structural integrity in the oven and form sharply into deep cavities without webbing, thinning, or collapsing, significantly reducing your scrap rate.
Q2: My PP containers crack when stored in the freezer. What material do you recommend?
A: Standard homopolymer PP becomes highly brittle at sub-zero temperatures. For frozen food packaging or cold-chain logistics, we strongly recommend our High-Impact Copolymer PP grades. These are specifically modified with elastomers to absorb shock and prevent shattering or micro-cracking at temperatures as low as -20°C, while still maintaining microwave-safe properties up to 120°C.
Q3: Why does the anti-fog coating easily wipe off some PP salad containers?
A: PP has extremely low surface energy, making it difficult for coatings to bond. Cheap suppliers simply apply a topical spray that wipes off easily. HSQY utilizes precision inline corona treatment to elevate the PP surface tension to strict Dyne levels before applying our anti-fog agents. This ensures a permanent chemical bond that survives condensation, transit friction, and consumer handling, keeping your fresh produce highly visible.
Q4: Should I order PP sheets in roll stock or cut-to-size sheets?
A: It depends on your equipment. If you are running high-speed, automated Roll-Fed thermoforming or Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) lines, continuous roll stock is mandatory for maximizing OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and minimizing handling waste. If you are using semi-automatic, single-station vacuum formers or require precise manual die-cutting, pre-cut rigid sheets are more appropriate. We supply both formats with strict gauge uniformity.
